On September 16, Yuanhe Energy delivered a 20 MW/20 MWh grid frequency regulation energy storage system to Pakistan. This project is Yuanhe Energy’s first large-scale grid frequency regulation energy storage project delivered overseas, and it will provide highly reliable frequency regulation support to the Pakistani power grid, helping it enhance its renewable energy consumption capacity and grid stability.
Yuanhe Energy provides a complete set of energy storage system integration products and solutions for this project, including battery containers, PCS step-up integrated units, and EMS, among others. The system is custom‑designed to address the challenging environment in Pakistan, characterized by poor grid stability, high temperatures, and high humidity. From initial design to overall delivery, the project took nearly two years, with all components manufactured, integrated, and factory‑accepted in a one‑stop process at Yuanhe’s intelligent manufacturing facility. Yuanhe Energy will also offer on‑site installation guidance, on‑site commissioning, and two years of on‑site operation and maintenance services to ensure the project’s long‑term stable operation.
As one of the earliest teams in China to deeply engage in frequency regulation for thermal power plants, Yuanhe Energy’s core team has delivered dozens of domestic thermal power frequency regulation projects as well as national-level energy storage projects in Hokkaido, Japan, Thailand, Indonesia, and other regions, accumulating more than ten years of technical experience in frequency regulation scenarios. By 2025, Yuanhe Energy will have overseas frequency regulation orders exceeding 100 megawatts under execution.
