The 2.5MW/5MWh DC cabinet energy storage system based on direct cooling technology won the “Top 10 Models of 2025 Energy Storage Technology Innovation” award at the 9th International Energy Storage Innovation Competition. This marks another instance of Yuanhe Energy receiving industry‑wide recognition for its technological breakthroughs and market application capabilities, following its previous multiple accolades in similar categories.

Yuanhe Energy Honored as One of the Top 10 Pioneers in Energy Storage Technology Innovation for 2025
The International Energy Storage Innovation Competition is co-hosted by the International Energy Storage Technology and Industry Alliance and the Zhongguancun Energy Storage Industry Technology Alliance, and is one of the most influential public-interest events in the global energy storage field. Guided by the principles of “fairness, impartiality, and transparency,” the competition focuses on four core dimensions—technological advancement, innovation, safety, and application prospects—covering tracks such as energy storage systems themselves, integration technologies, safety, and digital energy. In this year’s competition, Yuanhe Energy’s DC cabin technology successfully broke through, leading the industry in multiple metrics including energy density, temperature difference control, and energy efficiency.
Yuanhe Energy’s award-winning project is based on direct‑cooling technology, which eliminates the need for coolant and circulating water pumps, saving more than 30% on temperature control energy consumption. Particularly for high‑multiplication energy storage application scenarios, direct‑cooling technology can achieve faster and more efficient uniform temperature control of energy storage systems. For example, by adopting 1CP 314Ah high‑capacity lithium iron phosphate cells, a 20‑foot single‑cell DC container can reach a capacity of 5 MW/5 MWh. In frequency modulation and other constant‑multiplication application scenarios with a 1‑hour energy storage duration, the system integration cost is reduced by more than 20%.

A leader in the field of temperature difference control. The temperature difference between cells in the system is less than 2.5°C, significantly extending battery cycle life (over 10,000 cycles at 25°C), while auxiliary power consumption is reduced by more than 40% compared to industry standards.
Modular and Efficient Design Supports remote monitoring and flexible scalability, adapting to diverse application scenarios such as industrial and commercial energy storage, grid-side frequency regulation, and supporting new energy integration.
High efficiency and high availability No vulnerable components such as circulating water pumps; no circulating water required, making maintenance convenient.
Safety Redundancy Innovation It integrates temperature sensing, smoke detection, combustible gas detection, and multi-level fire protection systems, with an ingress protection rating of IP55, enabling operation in extreme environments ranging from -20°C to 50°C.
Since its establishment in 2022, Yuanhe Energy has adopted “full-stack self‑research + specialized experts in niche scenarios” as its core strategy, building a technological fortress spanning from battery cells to full‑station integration.
