On December 8, 2023, the first phase of the Yongxing Special Steel Commercial and Industrial Hybrid Energy Storage Project, jointly constructed by Yuanhe Energy and Yongxing Lithium Battery, was officially connected to the grid and put into operation at the Yongxing Special Steel Plant in Huzhou.
On December 8, 2023, the first phase of the Yongxing Special Steel Commercial and Industrial Hybrid Energy Storage Project, jointly constructed by Yuanhe Energy and Yongxing Lithium Battery, was officially connected to the grid and put into operation at the Yongxing Special Steel Plant in Huzhou. This project represents a successful application of hybrid energy storage in commercial and industrial energy storage projects; the first phase of the project utilizes 2 MW/4 MWh lithium iron phosphate batteries from Yuanhe Energy and 4 MW/2 MWh lithium titanate batteries from Yongxing Lithium Battery.
The project is located in Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, with a total capacity of 6 MW/6 MWh for the first-phase energy storage system. The 2 MW/4 MWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack provided by Yuanhe Energy is primarily used to shave peaks and fill valleys, meeting the demand for reducing factory electricity costs; the 4 MW/2 MWh lithium titanate battery pack provided by Yongxing Lithium Battery is mainly used to smooth factory load, stabilize factory voltage and frequency, and enhance grid stability. This project is also connected to the Zhejiang Province Virtual Power Plant Operation Platform. The successful grid connection and operation of this project marks a new breakthrough in the application of hybrid energy storage in the industrial and commercial energy storage sector, as hybrid energy storage systems can fully leverage the advantages of different types of energy storage batteries and improve the overall performance of energy storage systems.
